Im pregnant!

Baby McSwain Number 1....here we GO!

          So Joel and I have been trying to get pregnant for a while now....or what seems like a while now, i know we haven't even been married for a year. But it seems like we tried everything, we counted days for ovulation, took ovulation test, i held my legs in the air like a fool, you name it, we tried it. And then just like everyone said, when you stop trying, it will happen and sure enough...it happened!!! We could NOT be more excited! I found out at work on August 5,2010  in the bathroom in my office....which is kind of funny to admit. But my dad was coming down to help with the house renovations and he was going to play in a pool tournament in wynnewood and Joel and i were considering going. My friend Stacy said " You better take a pregnancy test before you go hang out in a smokey bar." After working together for almost a year we have became good friends and have gotten on the same "schedule" and she had already had her cycle for the month, so she was thinking something was up... So we went to the CVS right beside the hospital and got 2 pregnancy test. And i took them both and they said pregnant!!! I was soooooo Shocked!! I had put pregnancy in the back of my mind and was consumed with Jillie's Jewels. I called my close family and friends and shared my good news. It took me like a hour to get a hold of joel because he is not supposed to have his phone on the floor at work, so finally i sent him a text of the pregnancy test that said Pregnant, he then responded to that. He was very excited...some of his first thoughts were...we need to start saving every penny we have....hes a worry wort. We Went to  Dr. McCulloh's office, one of the doc's i work with and he did a urine test that came back positive!! once again we were so excited! I spent the weekend with my mom, sis, and nieces as they guys worked on the house. We talked about babies all weekend long. Kins named the baby Sara and said she was going to teach her how to crawl. so sweet. I called Dr. Melton's office, who i chose to be my ob, to make my appointment. They had to run a blood test first and so i went over to their office which is on the campus of the hospital, so very very convenient. They did blood work and called me on Tuesday, 8/9/10 and confirmed the pregnancy. I made my appointment for 8/18/10 for my first ultrasound and my appointment to see Dr. Melton on 8/31/10. Overall, I'm feeling ok! just persistent heartburn...I'm so excited about this pregnancy and cant want to see how things progress.
